The 4 Editing Mistakes you MUST Make to Become a Better Photographer

Mistake #1: Over Saturation

If a little extra color is good… a lot of extra colors must be GREAT right?

The Colors are a Technicolor Nightmare

Mistake #2: Selective Color

Selective color makes your images artistic right?

Here I used Selective Color AND Over Saturation. Double Whammy.

Mistake #3: Not Taking Skin Tones Seriously

You mean every bride doesn’t want to look like a zombie on their wedding day?

I delivered this photo. Skin color of a zombie and all. No regard to skin tones.

Mistake#4: Not Culling my Photos Enough

If it’s in focus, it’s getting delivered! Even if there are 29 of the exact same other phots.

Yes, 18 of the same photo please.

My First DSLR Photos. 2007

Start off with the Establishing shot to tell the viewer where you are

Very under exposed

To add context to the protesters I tried to include the Armed Forces sign

Police Presence

I should have added added the sign in the frame

Crowd gathering, poor attempt at manual focus.

Good moment but poor exposure and white balance is too cool
